- If you have the 7th edition, read pages 382-433 in Chapter 6 of D. S. Malik's C++ Programming from Problem Analysis to Program Design. If you have the 8th edition, read pages 384-435 in Chapter 6.
- Turn in answers to Exercises 1, 18, 21, 22, 27, 28, 33*, 35, and 38** on
pages 436 to 450 in the 7th edition (or pages 438 to 453 in the 8th edition). Quiz
questions will be similar to these exercises. For the odd-numbered exercises, check yourself against
the answers given in Apppendix I.
- *In the 7th edition only, there's a typo in the book's answer to Exercise 33. Both instances of "30" should be "−100."
- **In the 8th edition only, there's a typo in Exercise 38. In the first line of code, num should have a default value of 4 and x should have a default value of 2.5. In other words, that first line of code should be "void defaultParam(char ch, int num=4, double x=2.5)" instead of "void defaultParam(char ch, int num, double x)".
