Turn in answers to Exercises 25, 26, 27, 28, 39*, 40**, 41, and 43 on
pages 590 to 602 on
pages 590 to 602 in the 7th edition (or pages 592 to 604 in the 8th edition). Quiz
questions will be similar to these exercises. Note that although this unit’s topic is two-dimensional arrays, the first few exercises deal with the previous unit’s topic, one-dimensional arrays. For the odd-numbered exercises, check yourself against
the answers given in Apppendix I.
*In the 7th edition only, there’s a typo in the book’s answer to Exercise 39. It should say 17 instead of 7.
**In the 7th edition only, you might be confused by the directions in Exercise 40. For each part of this exercise you’re supposed to write a command that displays only one element from the array. For example, part a. asks you to display the element in the first column of the first row.
